“The village choir”
I have long been involved with choirs in the various roles of singer, piano accompanist and orchestral accompanist. In 2010 I jumped in completely and took on the role of Musical Director of Ashton Keynes Village Choir.
I directed the choir for two years, during which time we staged seven concerts. These included a very varied repertoire, ranging from Elgar’s Ave Verum and Parry’s Blest Pair of Sirens to, at the other extreme, Shine by Take That.
